Leaders in Giving

Just as our research model is based on collaboration, so too do we depend on collaboration with generous individuals and organizations who believe in the mission of the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital. It's their spirit of commitment and partnership — as much as their contributions large or small — that makes them leaders in giving, and that will help them change the future for children with neurological diseases.

Jan and Dan Duncan

Jan and Dan Duncan's desire to give back is inspired by compassion for human suffering, guided by keen business acumen, and rooted in a deep-seated faith. Their $50 million gift is the launching pad for our groundbreaking research effort.

Cynthia and Tony Petrello

Firsthand personal experience with their daughter's neurological disease motivated the Petrellos to help take neurological research to the next level. With their $5 million lead donation (total commitment: $7 million) and their ongoing fundraising leadership, they are making a meaningful difference.

The Gracely Family

Moved by the goal of helping to heal sick children, two generations of the Gracely family have joined together to contribute $200,000 to our work.

The Hamill Foundation

A personal connection to Texas Children's Hospital lies behind the Hamill Foundation's generous $6.3 million donation to advance pediatric research.

The Blue Bird Circle

The dedicated members of The Blue Bird Circle have long worked tirelessly to support treatment and research in pediatric neurology. The most recent gift of $2.8 million from this esteemed volunteer organization will continue to forward the cause of children's health.

The DeLuca Family

To help find cures for children like their daughter Caroline, the DeLuca family has committed $1 million to the Duncan NRI.

The Brown Foundation

A recent $2 million gift from the Brown Foundation is instrumental in our current effort to build out a new state-of-the-art bioinformatics core at Duncan NRI.
